This illustration was a project for my illustration class. I had to create an anthropomorphic portrait of myself combined with an animal. I went with the bull because most people say that I look serious most of the time. I wanted to create something dramatic, to represent the bull's characteristics as well as mines. In order to accomplished that, I decided to incorporate the Chiaroscuro technique, using a single light source. The reason I decided to use this technique is because one: Rembrandt is my favorite artist from the baroque period, two: I wanted to create a dramatic portrait because during the night in my studio is where I feel more inspired and its where I create most of my designs.
